The family of Tyree Nichols, who died after being beaten by police in Tennessee, USA, is calling for the killer to be held accountable.

At a church meeting in Memphis, his siblings vowed to keep fighting until justice is done.

Nicos died in hospital days after being arrested for reckless driving. Five former police officers are facing manslaughter charges after they were fired over the incident.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to attend the funeral of Tyree Nichols, which is scheduled for later today.

"What happened in Tire is a disgrace to this country," said civil rights activist Al Sharpton.

Nichols' stepfather, Rodney Wells, urged people to "fight for justice for my son" on Tuesday night.

"People all over the world have seen a video of an unarmed man being beaten by law enforcement for no reason," Sharpton said.
